If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. The Izaac Walton Cabin is a fisherman's delight to come home to after a great day of fishing on the Yellowstone River which is only 5 miles away. There is Blue Ribbon fishing with or without guides in many streams and lakes within an hour or two. If you like to cook the kitchen is ready and equiped with stove and oven, microware, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, dishes and utensils, or if you prefer to eat out Livingston offers many restaurant choices only 5 miles down the road. Later in the evening you can rest and relax on the front porch and watch our beautiful Montana sunsets. There is only one cabin so go ahead and scream out loud if the big one didn't bite today!

All the bedding and towels are furnished, just bring your personal gear. The cabin has resently been refinished and it is very bright and comfy. It has one full size bed so if you bring someone be sure it's someone you like.

If you're not a fisherman there's lots of other activities to do. To name a few - rafting on the Yellowstone River, hiking in the Absorokas, horseback riding in Paradise Valley or going to Yellowstone Park - one hour drive. Livingston also has 14 art galleries, 3 museums (one fly fishing museum) and many restaurants, bars with live music, coffee shops, boutique shops, 2 large grocery stores, bicyle shop, boat and raft rental shop, and a beautiful park along the Yellowstone River for picnics and strolls as well as the Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings. If these activities don't interest you, you can do as some of our guests have done - just hang out at the cabin watching the wildlife - deer, antelope, jack rabbits, eagles, and coyotes (if you are up early) while enjoying the fantastic view of the Absorokas Mountains from your cabin sitting in the middle of 212 acres of wild pasture land (winter range for a large herd of elk)

The walls of the cabin are decorated with our paintings. If you wish to see more of our art work please visit our art gallery at 112 North Main Street in downtown Livingston - Garre Fine Art

Testimonials:

"There must be thousands of cabins in Montana, but when we found this one, we knew it was the perfect place for us. Everything about it feels authentic and the quiet and solitude one can experience here is tremendous. The horses, birds, antelopes and even the family dog welcome you with open arms. The million-dollar view won't disappoint. The nicest cabin we've seen in a long time."

"We can't say thank you enough for giving us this opportunity. We came expecting it to be our 'bunking house' while we traveled around Yellowstone. Instead we canceled our plans and just spent some quiet time at the cabin... once we were here we realized it was the perfect trip and we didn't need to leave. We will be back."
~ Adam & Hillay Harris, Billings, MT
